Retreat Ministries

Retreat ministries at Briarwood fall under two categories – Briarwood sponsored retreats and retreats sponsored by the group renting our facilities.

Briarwood Sponsored Retreats

Briarwood hosts several retreats each year, including a Confirmation Retreat, an Advent Retreat, a Lenten Retreat, a Seniors Retreat, and other types of retreats.  These retreats, led by the Briarwood staff, are open to all people (although some retreats are for specific age groups).  Go to the Briarwood Sponsored Retreats web page for more information about these gathers.

User Sponsored Retreats

Most of the retreats and gatherings at Briarwood are sponsored and led by the groups renting our facilities.  They include congregational groups (councils, women’s groups, men’s groups, choirs, etc.), denominational groups (such as the Bishop’s Convocation, Via de Christo, and the Roman Catholic ACTS spirituality retreats), family groups (for family reunions, wedding receptions, or family gatherngs), or secular groups (such as chambers of commerce, teachers groups, business gatherings, and even one motorcycle group).  For information on renting the facilities at Briarwood, email us at bw@briarwoodretreat.org, call us at 940-241-2099, or check out the other pages of this web site.
